How do I work

I offer long-term, open-ended psychotherapy and brief psychodynamic therapy, both of which can be beneficial for different needs, levels of intensity, and time frames.

Working within a psychodynamic frame means that rather than working with a fixed niche, a diagnosis, or a single presenting problem, we work with the whole person and whatever you choose to bring. Therapy becomes a space where all parts of you are welcome, not just the parts that feel broken or in need of fixing.

I have a special interest in the psychology of migration and the complex emotional experience of living between cultures. Moving to a new country often acts as a catalyst, bringing long-standing internal patterns and questions of identity to the surface.

As a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, I work with individuals to explore how the challenges of relocation—such as isolation, loss of 'home', or the pressure to adapt—interact with their personal history. My goal is to provide a space where you can process these shifts deeply, moving beyond immediate survival toward a true sense of belonging and inner clarity.

I offer my practice in both English and Portuguese, recognising that being able to express oneself in a native language is often vital to reaching the most authentic parts of our internal world.
